Uhhmmm.. Hello. But what is a Boudin? I read someone say 'chicken boudin.' Does that mean that there are such things as pork or beef boudin?

Thanks!

Now, all y'all make me want to go on a boudin and crackling tasting trip around Louisiana. I do like Jerry Lee's boudin a lot and Billy's in Krot Springs has some damn good cracklings. To be fair, I'd have to try them all. Sounds like a fantastic road trip to me!

It's not on the list, but if you want some really good boudin, stop in at Charlie T's in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. In voting what's on the list, I would have to go with Don's in Carencro (or in Scott for that matter, same people). It's making my mouth water just thinking about it. Both are very close for the best cracklins as well!

I am so not believing that Billy's Mini Mart in Krotz Springs didn't make the list! Seriously, the best boudin and boudin balls I have ever put into my mouth. You've GOT to put them on the list!

Mrcoonass, Jacob's in Laplace sells online. http://www.cajunsausage.com/ Their andouille is second to none and their smoked sausage, while I have never had it, probably ain't half bad either.

Best Stop in Cankton also ships http://www.thebeststopsupermarket.com/welcome.htm just about everything, including some top notch boudin and smoked sausage...and ponce/chaudin!
