All the ones I’ve heard listed make great boudin. I’m partial to Best Stop though. And, u van pick up some incredible sausage stuffed quail while your there!

Uhhmmm.. Hello. But what is a Boudin? I read someone say ‘chicken boudin.’ Does that mean that there are such things as pork or beef boudin?

Now, all y’all make me want to go on a boudin and crackling tasting trip around Louisiana. I do like Jerry Lee’s boudin a lot and Billy’s in Krot Springs has some damn good cracklings. To be fair, I’d have to try them all. Sounds like a fantastic road trip to me!

Someone needs to try Peto’s in Moss Bluff and Homsi’s in Lake Charles — they definitely should be included in next years contest.

It’s not on the list, but if you want some really good boudin, stop in at Charlie T’s in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. In voting what’s on the list, I would have to go with Don’s in Carencro (or in Scott for that matter, same people). It’s making my mouth water just thinking about it. Both are very close for the best cracklins as well!

Best Stop in Cankton also ships http://www.thebeststopsupermarket.com/welcome.htm just about everything, including some top notch boudin and smoked sausage...and ponce/chaudin!
